Shipping & Delivery FAQs
- How much do you charge for delivery?
We charge £3.99 for delivery. The Cultured Collective’s products are unpasteurised meaning we’ll send them to you chilled. To do this, we need to ship in high-spec, protective insulated packaging and use a priority courier service. These factors make shipping pretty pricey for us and without passing on a portion of this fee as a shipping charge we wouldn’t be able to offer you the option of buying from us direct.
- Do you have a minimum order quantity?
Yes we do, it’s £25. Depending on your choices, this equates to 5 or 6 jars. Similar to above, this ensures that we are able to cover our costs and keep offering you a direct service. You will receive your jars with a minimum of 14 days shelf life, (in practice it’s often longer) so plenty of time for eating!
- When will my order arrive?
Our delivery days are Tuesday through Friday and we aim to have your parcel to you within 2-3 working days. For the standard delivery schedule please refer to the table below:

- I’m not going to be in to receive my order, what should I do?
Unfortunately once your order has been despatched we’re not able to recall it or delay delivery. Because we are delivering chilled food items, we have one opportunity to get your package to you. Please let us know either a safe spot or trusted neighbour that we can leave your items with in the event that you’re not in. You can tell us this information in the Special instructions for seller box on the Shopping Cart review page prior to check-out.
We highly recommend that you check our standard schedule in the table above before ordering. If in any doubt then please pop an e mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
You will receive a notification email the day prior to your schedule delivery from DPD. You can also add your delivery information by following the steps below.
DPD will send a text message the day of your delivery with a one-hour delivery window. I’m afraid we are unable to offer you a refund for missed deliveries.
- Can you deliver on Saturdays?
Yes we can. If you would like a Saturday delivery then please select the shipping rate ‘Saturday’ at check out. We must receive your order before midday Thursday for same week delivery, and please note that shipping will be charged at the higher rate of £12.55. If you have any questions then please email our team at email@example.com. Be aware that if you request a Saturday delivery and do not select the Saturday shipping rate, then this will result in a delay in your order being despatched as we will keep it on hold until a member of our team has been in contact with you to process the additional payment.
- Where do you deliver?
We deliver all around mainland Britain, excluding the Scottish Highlands, Islands and post codes AB31 - AB54. Unfortunately these areas are not serviced by our priority courier.
- How do I store the products and how long do they last?
Our kimchis and sauerkrauts are unpasteurised and must be stored chilled. Once received, be sure to pop your items in the fridge. You will receive your jars with a minimum of 21 days shelf life, (in practice it’s often longer) so plenty of time for eating!
- My order has arrived damaged, what should I do?
If your products haven’t arrived in an acceptable state, please take photographic evidence and pop an email to firstname.lastname@example.org We will then try our best to solve the issue with DPD.
- My order hasn’t arrived, what should I do?
I’m afraid we are unable to offer you a refund if your order goes missing. Please pop an email to email@example.com We will do our best to work with DPD to track down your products.
